Uploading and Using your own Files

1. On your My Stuff page, click the “+ Add” card.

2. Select “Upload a File”.

3. On the Upload Files page, click the "Select Files" button.

4. A pop-up window will give you access to the files on your computer. Select the files you wish to upload and click the "Open" button.

5. You can add tags for your resource if you wish.

6. Click the "Upload" button.

7. Once the file has uploaded, click "Close". You'll be taken back to your My Stuff page. If you don't see your resource, use your browser's refresh button to reload the page. Your resource will be first, right next to the "Add" card.

Supported File Types

Ogment supports the most common informational file types:

  • Video: MP4, WEBM
  • Audio: MPS, WAV
  • Images: GIF, JPEG, JPG, PNG

We wish to maximize compatibility with as many file types as possible, however certain file types can create security issues. Ogment does not support software executables that can be run on Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems, nor does it support certain Java files. Unsupported file extensions include EXE, DMG, and CLASS
